How does the fade in feature work?

Gary:
I have a few songs that I am not starting at the beginning and it seems like the fade in feature is not working or is very fast.  Is there a setting or adjustment I need to make?

UpAllnite Software:
Fade-in is automatic if the song doesn't start at the beginning. 

There is a 'fade seconds' value in the config menu that defaults to one second and is applied to fade-in and fade-out.
