Add music from Amazon prime music
« on: February 16, 2018, 09:24:35 am »
Would be great if I could add music from a platform that I already pay a subscription for.

I looked at adding support for Amazon Prime Music last year and they did not have any third party interfaces available for developers to use to integrate into mobile apps.

I will take a look again and see if that has changed and keep it on the radar if it still has not.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I have checked this possibility again recently and there is still no published programming interface for developers to use the Amazon Prime music in a third party mobile application.  That includes Android and iOS platforms.

I will continue to keep an eye on that front for changes as it would be a very useful addition to the Android version especially.

Google music does not yet provide any player api for any of their music services.  I have been watching for one.

In theory, I could provide support for playback of any youtube url, but the app would then require continuous internet access for playback as it would break youtube terms of service to cache anything.  Would that still be of value with that condition?
