Issue Reporting / Re: Cannot access iTunes library
« on: September 26, 2017, 07:50:57 pm »
For some reason, Apple is taking way long to review the beta version...  but they managed to complete the review of the general realease so you should be able to get version 2.3.3 from the app store.

Release Notes / Bug in release 2.3.2
« on: September 26, 2017, 11:00:04 am »
There is a bug in the version 2.3.2 release from yesterday that prevents the user from granting permission for the app to access the iTunes library.

A fix has been submitted to Apple this morning and should be available shortly. The bug will not affect existing users upgrading to version 2.3.2 if permission for the app to access the iTunes library has already been granted. If you are affected by the bug and would like quicker resolution, please send a private message with your email address and I will add you to the beta list which should be slightly faster than waiting for Apple to review the general release.

I found the issue and I am submitting a fix to Apple for accelerated review.   I will add your email address to the beta list for this release.  If you could, please accept the beta invite from Apple and install the beta version and verify the fix.   Look for that invite shortly but wait to install until testflight alerts you to a beta build version 2.3.3 with the fix.

Thanks again for the report!

Just deleted my test version and installed the latest and I get the same result as you did...   Must be some new twist the Apple added for iOS 11.   I will dig into it and get it fixed.

Thanks for the report!   I will post here on what I find and how soon the fix will be available.

Hmm, that is definately not supposed to happen.  Is this a new install or have you had it installed for a while?  Do you have the latest version of the app?  That permission setting was only added with ios 10 so app versions before that could not have asked for it.

Can you find the walkout song app icon in settings?  It should be down in the list with general applications.  If you tap open that, the toggle switch to access the library should be there as well.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions / Re: Hard to change cue time
« on: September 16, 2017, 08:30:42 pm »
Is it just one particular song or do you have the issue with all the songs?

Have you tried tapping and dragging down on the minutes digits of the cue value, that should scroll up to 2 minutes in one motion.

You can also drag the song slider up to around 2 minutes and press the [ button to set the cue at that point.

It sounds Like the app is having trouble reading the length of the song. how did you add it to the app? Was it from iTunes or imported from email?

Release Notes / Beta notes for version 2.3.2
« on: September 01, 2017, 08:02:13 am »
New version 2.3.2 of the app is ready for beta test. If you have the app and are interesting in trying out the new version before everyone else gets it, please send me your email address and i will set that up for you.

New stuff for version 2.3.2:
- Added configuration menu option for player announcement before or after walkout song is played.
- Added link to support forum from configuration menu
- Added notification and link to settings if permission to access iTunes library has not been granted.
- Bug fix for random order when adding players

You can create multiple teams...  just swipe the main team to the left and a new blank team list will slide into it's place.  You can then add players to that team and swipe back and forth.

Does that function work for you?

Issue Reporting / Re: Imported playlist not finding music
« on: August 12, 2017, 07:52:06 pm »
Do both devices have access to the same itunes library account?  The imported settings should be able to relink with the music if the itunes libraries have the same songs and they are dowloaded locally to the second device.

Not yet...  I have had that requested a couple times in the last couple months so I am working on that for the next version.   Hopefully will release that by mid September.

Thanks for the excellent suggestions...  To be honest, I never used the app for more than one team so the multi-team aspects were just a guess and your experience helps greatly with where it falls short.  I will make notes on all your suggestions and see what I can make work for the next upgrade work over the late fall and winter.

General Discussion / Re: Amazon Prime Music
« on: July 05, 2017, 12:51:49 pm »
If you can get the songs downloaded in mp3 or m4a file format, you can email them to yourself as file attachments.   Open that email on your iOS device and long tap and release the song file attachment.   That should bring up a menu of destinations for the file and one of those should be 'copy to Walkout Songs'.   Select that and the song should be imported into the app and available from the 'imported files' when selecting a song for a player.

I'm not sure if Amazon Prime Music will allow you to export the songs to a file format.  Most of the subscription music services will not as there is a huge difference to the music royalty payments for streaming a song from an internet server versus do 'whatever you want with a file'

You can't enhance the voices...  Apple does that.  There are several voices on the iOS list that are indicated as 'enhanced'. I'm not sure exactly what the enhancement process does, but those voices sound a little more lifelike and use more data on your device.
