Very cool...., thank you....as you can tell.., having a blast with it....don't know if it's leading to more sales, but I have several people from the opposing team ask me every game, how I do what I am doing.., and I promote your app with zeal.

Let me know if you ever need a beta tester!!

General Discussion / Suggestions 2 for player announcements

I've either become your most hated forum user or your favorite. ::)

2 requests for the Oct/Nov update

1.  Be able to enter their position with their name and number

2.  Be able to enter a school name/nickname.

So right now, "Now Batting,number...." is embedded somewhere in the announcers code.  Then based on the number we enter and then name...., "Daniel", then announces "Now Batting, number forty-seven, Howie Kendrick"

What would be cool is with their name and number, we could enter their position.  Then somewhere at the top of the line up, be able to enter a team name, so one doesn't have to enter the same name 15-20 times over.

As a result, the announcement would go something like this if I enter Wildcats as a team name:

"Now Batting for the Wildcats, number 5, Shortstop, Corey Seager"

would that be possible?  Hope I am not wearing you out ;)

We have been using the app pretty extensively for a Freshman HS baseball team.  We kind of developed a wish list that we would like to see implemented in an update.

1.)  The ability to compartmentalize songs in pregame and inning break.  There are 3 groupings of pregame songs.  The first group are songs one plays when your team actually is on the field taking pregame.  The next group would be for when the opposing team takes their pregame.  And last would be for just to fill time before the game.  Where I can bracket a group of songs I want to play, and then walk away, not having to worry about monitoring the app.  I have enough songs, so that I would like to have 3 groups of this, so it doesn't grow stale or old.  Regardless, just the ability to compartmentalize or bracket a playlist of songs in the "Pregame" and "Inning Break" categories would be most helpful.  You already have the code for it under the walkout category, where multiple line-ups can be entered

2.)  We try to be respectful and announce the other team's players too.  It's kind of a pain to assign a song to them, in order to get the app to announce.  Don't need to give the other team music, let alone the exact same song for a min of 5 sec, but its cool to still be able to enter their names and numbers and let "Daniel" announce them.  So a feature where you can skip the music/song requirement to do so, would be most helpful

3.)  I saw someone else suggest it under FAQ, but a pre-loaded group of sound effects that we could use.., for instance, a strikeout, a good play.  Ideas would be an umpire call, a TV Game Show sound of failure., ESPN's web gem sound bite..., stuff like that.  That one might be harder than the other 2.

Thanks for listening

That would be really cool if that could come together.  Any professional Stadium voice would be supreme, and would put this whole experience that the app offers to a whole new level.  Looking forward to it!

I know where and how to change the duration of the "walkout" song AND the "inning break" song.  My problem is this...the change only works if I enter or add a new song.  The existing songs I have loaded in those categories don't get changed.  I have to delete them and then put them back in to the mix for it to work.  It's really a pain in the ass when you have 24-30 songs already in the que for "inning break", and the change doesn't effect them.  This can change from game to game depending on the umpire.  Some push the game really fast, and some like to get their water and go an extra 20-30 seconds.  Each umpire is consistent with their time, but each umpire is different.  They usually fall with in 90-120 seconds.

Also, it's not too big of deal for the walkout song, because you are talking about a minor adjustment in terms of a second or two, but when you have 19 boys like for a HS team, it can be really annoying.  The times can change depending on the field, I know that sounds silly, but sometimes, they have a really short walk to the batters box and some fields they have an extended walk to the batters box.  It would be nice when the change is made, it effects the existing entries and not just new entries.

Soundbites (pre-loaded) or available in a download or update would be really cool.  Something for a strike out (a swoosh, an umpire sound, a game show sound bite) , also for a really good play, like the first person suggested like the ESPN top play soundbite, something that happens really quick and isn't necessarily music related.

I've had that happen a few times.  I just have to close the app and re open it.  It doesn't take very long to do that, and I quite haven't figured out what causes it.  But it seems like it happens when I toggle the "enable" voice feature or I am changing the voices too much for the app's liking.

General Discussion / New Announcer Voice downloads?

I've had this app for about 2 weeks, and our freshman HS team has had a lot of fun with already.

My question is this.  When do you think a good, strong, American male voice will be available to announce the names?

Daniel from the UK "voice "is getting by, but it sounds like we are at a cricket or soccer match at times.  Hoping that new voices will be available in an update soon.

Thanks.
