That is the same function as the >| button in prior versions.  The button icon was changed to avoid confusion for people who thought it was play next button. What it actually does is allow you to play past the duration you configured until you manually fade it or it reaches the end. The theoretical use was for a batter coming to bat at the start of an inning when you might have more than the standard 11 seconds available before they were set at the plate.

You should be able to use the share data option on the settings page of the app to save a file copy of everything you setup.  When you get to the new iPad with the Walkout Song DJ app installed and the Apple Music subscription active, open the backup file and share it to Walkout Song DJ and it should import everything and relink the Apple Music songs to the new account.

I've spent the last 4 years using this software, adding songs, playlists and creating a high school baseball program.  This will likely be my last season in the press box.  My son is graduating.  I'm using an iPad with an Apple Music subscription.  I intend on donating the iPad to the booster club when I depart however I'd really like to have my own personal iPad with a copy of the app to keep all the work I've done and perhaps expand on it for another press box opportunity but I would need to use a different Apple ID/Apple Music subscription.  Is there anyway to create a copy that will keep my work but use a different Apple ID/Music subscription?  Thanks.

I didn't reset it, I retested it.  i.e. tested it again to make sure it was working.

Anyway, you probably just need to install the update.  The app does not update itself as it does not come from the play store.  Best way to update is to remove your current version.  Then go to this thread at the forum here: https://upallnitesoftware.com/forum/index.php?topic=246.0

Download from the link on the first message of the thread as that is always the latest version. Install what you just downloaded and the errors should go away.

It is currently working for me on a quick retest.

Seems simple song collector need to gwt updated. Streaming failed. Failed to get stream info error

Ive been messing with it all morning. I get the same message no matter what song I try

Issue Reporting / Android 4.0.xx bug preventing ...

A user reported an Android issue this evening 2/27/26 that her Android Walkout Song DJ app would no longer play the songs on the walkout page but would play from any other page.  Dug around and found a nasty bug introduced in the Apple Music support effort that prevented songs on the walkout page from playing when the announcements enabled toggle on the settings page of the app was set to false.  I have a new build version 4.0.5 that will remedy the issue.  Hopefully Google will review it quickly and get it published shortly.  If you are running into the issue, the quick fix is to enable the announcements toggle.

There is a new release of Walkout Song DJ for Android version 4.0.3 that now has support for Apple Music song sources.  If you are hesitant to use the Simple Song collector side load, this should be a great option for you.

The only unsolvable issues that the integration introduces are related to the fact that this must be a pure streaming integration.  That results in a small delay in song loading from the cloud and requires that internet connectivity is present for playback.

You also would be required to have an active Apple Music Subscription.

Additional benefits would be the full Apple Music song catalog searchable right in the app, easy import and export with Walkout Song DJ Apple users, and no song storage space used on your device.

I moved to a newer iPad and everything is good.  It was probably time.  Thank you for all the help and thank you for this app.  You make a lot of kids happy this time of year when they get to be like the pros and pick out a song to identify them or motivate them as they step into the batters box.
