Announcement not working

I have the text to speech enabled, in the settings I have announcements enabled, however when I click on the drop down triangle it's not working. It worked initially but once my phone did an update it went work. I have a Samsung s8 plus I am using android version 8.0

Sounds like the text to speech engine settings may have changed on the device.
This link has a pretty good tutorial of how to get the correct text to speech engine selected and install voices:

I still cant get it to work. Frustrating because it was working fine earlier today. Hoping to get it work before Saturday as we have a tournament.

Rats... Look like I broke that in my last update :( Let me go fix it real quick.

I was adding an error handler to the Text To Speech initialization and had to force an error to test the handler. Left the stupid force in the code...
Arghghg!!! Sorry about that! Thanks for pointing it out to me.
Should be an update on the store within the hour.
