Songs not playing properly

First, thank you for creating an amazing app.  I have been using this app for about 8 months now and entertain the masses at my daughter's softball tournaments.  Again, thank you.  I originally was importing songs since I could not access my iTunes Library.  This was time consuming. Now that you have enabled the ability to access the iTunes library it is much easier to manage things.  When importing songs I never had a problem with songs not playing when I push the play button or any sort of "hiccups". Now, I'm getting failed starts and hiccups (songs sort of skipping when I push play).  I reinstalled the app and am running the latest version.  Any thoughts?

That sounds like you are now using songs from An Apple Music subscription?  The player that Apple provides for those is quite buggy and inconsistent.  I implemented many workarounds to smooth out the bugs, but the things you mention still happen occasionally when you first start a session and if your device has any issues with marginal internet connectivity.  If those hiccups are unnacceptable, I would recommend returning to imported songs or just purchasing songs individually from iTunes.  With those types of songs, the app has direct access to the audio data and I can use a much better player that I designed.
