I am now able to duplicate the stuck spinning search on an older Android device...  that usually makes it pretty easy to find the problem.   Stay tuned...

Downloaded new version but having same problem - kids change their songs all the time and this was such a great app. Bummer.
To be clear, I'm having the rr-googlevideo issue causing nothing to save to the usual location.

I also get the spinning search with no results. The new release works on my pixel 8 but not my old Samsung A70 which I use for ballpark DJ

Spinning search with no results is not a symptom of the recent errors that the updates were directed at.  I have just tested with version 1.0.17 on all my Android devices and I do not see any issues with the search or download.  The search part you are describing is a very simple function using public YouTube routes so no reason for YouTube to mess with it.  My suspicion would be something blocking the app from accessing the internet.   You might try just a restart of the Android device or another uninstall/reinstall of the simple song collector to make sure nothing went goofy in the last install.

Also having issues, I did download the latest version 1.0.17 but after downloading, when I enter in anything in the search bar, it just spins and spins and nothing comes up in the search results.

Issue seems to be back again for me.  The update was working just fine, but isn't as of 2 days ago or so.
