i keep getting an error that says streaming failed. failed to get stream info. i have had simple song collector for years and the last few months it hasn't worked. i am trying to download songs for ballpark dj.

Try going back to the top of this thread, the newest version of the song collector is always linked there.  Delete your old version from the device, download the new one and install and it should work for you.

the simple song collector was updated yesterday and it must be updated manually.  You can get the latest from top of this thread:

Could you do an export of your data to walkoutsongdj@gmail.com and include the name of the player with the announcement issue and what device type you are using, Apple or Android?

iTunes and Apple Music are not yet supported on Android because Apple hasn't provided a stable and usable interface for other apps to use on Android.  You should, however, be able to find a matching version of any song in the Apple Music catalog with the song collector.

That error indicates that YouTube has blocked the internet address you are using with the song collector. I hear that primarily reported with vpn addresses or from addresses that download a large number of songs in a short time. Advice is to go to whatsmyip.com to find what address you have on the device and then trying to connect to the internet a different way to get a different address and see if the issue goes away.

I noticed quite a few crashes after the iOS update to version 3.1.13 in the realm of copy and move of players and edit of player names.  Did some investigation, fixed the issues and got an expedited review from Apple for version 3.1.14. If you are encountering any crashes or other weirdness try the new update.

The sign in to prove you're not a bot is because YouTube thinks the ip address you are using is suspect and won't let you access YouTube anonymously from that address.  There is no actual option to sign on so the only way to get it working is to try a different address.  If you are using a vpn on the device, turn it off. If not and you are using wifi, try using cellular.

You are correct... there is only one ai script because that is how most people use it.  That is also why the script allows for [name] and [number] wildcards so the same script can be applied to all players. Up until recently, no one had mentioned wanting a unique script for each player but you are second one to ask for it in the last couple months so I have added the feature request to the todo list for a future update.

The AI vendor has corrected the issue and announcement generation should be working now.

The AI voice generation is returning an 'unable to generate'  'unknown error' this morning 9/4/25.  I have reported the issue to the AI vendor and they are working on it. I will reply on this thread when then get it fixed.

There is not yet a way to create a script per player.  There is only one script stored in your device settings so that is applied to all ai generates until it's changed. You're actually the first person that has suggested or requested that.  I will add that to the feature request list and see how difficult it would be to implement and if others would use the feature.

Spotify does not legally allow this type of app to access their music sources.  I would love to support it if they ever change that policy, but they don't even respond to requests I make to ask if there are options they can support.
